Tegucigalpa - Para evitar el colapso
institucional, el gobierno del presidente Porfirio Lobo, decidió
intervenir la Empresa Hondureña de Telecomunicaciones (Hondutel),
nombrando una Comisión Interventora y restando poder al actual gerente,
Romeo Vásquez, en vista que la empresa sólo este año muestra un déficit
de 500 millones de lempiras.
La Comisión interventora está encabezada por el secretario
de Finanzas, Héctor Guillén, la subgerencia de Hondutel, los Directores
Residentes, el Auditor y el representante de las empresas del gobierno.
De esta forma, el gobierno declara “emergencia financiera”
en Hondutel cuya crisis económica es tal que hasta el salario de los empleados
ha sido retrasado, algo que nunca se había dado en la historia de esa empresa,
se informó. Incluso se indica que durante la actual administración el número de
empleados es de 4,800, es decir, mil 200 más que durante el gobierno anterior y
muchos de ellos con salarios onerosos.
Asimismo, se indica que existe un incumplimiento en las
diversas obligaciones de Hondutel provocando un descalabro administrativo que
perjudica la gestión del ex hombre fuerte de las Fuerzas Armadas, Romeo
Vásquez.
Extraoficialmente se indicó que el general Vásquez Velásquez
estará en su cargo hasta el último de este mes, pero que en la práctica ha sido
despojado de toda autoridad y poder en la estatal telefónica.
